Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man who allegedly stole from a shoe store in Islandia last month.
Investigators from the Suffolk County Fourth Precinct Crime Section released a surveillance photo of a man who allegedly walked into Famous Footwear on Vets Highway at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, and walked out with a pair of Nike sneakers without paying.
The shoes had an estimated value of approximately $70, police said.
Anyone with information regarding the stolen sneakers, or who has information regarding the suspect, has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
